Sífutás Sauris

"Untervelt" and "Plotze", two famous nordic skiing trails surrounded by the fairytale landscape of the valley of Sauris.

The Untervelt trail is situated in the hamlet of Velt, near the "Borgo dello sport e del benessere" sports and wellness centre; the Plotze trail, on the other hand, is situated in Sauris di Sopra.

The landscape of both runs, often sunny, is dominated by the imposing Mount Bivera, which in winter takes on a fairytale look thanks to the snow cover on its beeches and firs.

How to get there
The ski runs are situated in Sauris and can be reached from the Val Tagliamento valley turning right in the village of Ampezzo and proceeding for 14 Km until getting to the wonderful Val Lumiei valley.
