Le Grand Massif

Halfway between Chamonix and Geneva, the Grand Massif welcomes winter sports fans to a ski area full of character and contrasts.

The Grand Massif ski area comprises 62 ski lifts and a total of 139 runs. Five ski areas make up the Grand Massif: Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval.

Located in Haute-Savoie and facing Mont-Blanc, the ski area offers an unspoilt environment and breathtaking panoramic views.

Created over 30 years ago in the winter of 1982-1983, the Grand Massif is an exceptional destination for both its environment and the quality of its ski area.
Les Carroz, one of the jewels in the Grand Massif crown, was the site of the very first ski lift in 1939. At 1,600 metres long, it established the resort as France's leading ski resort.
