Valuable tips and information: A Kneipp Cure is a holistic natural treatment in form of hydrotherapy that was developed one hundred years ago by the Bavarian priest Sebastian Kneipp. His focus was on the healthy interplay of body, mind and soul, any disruption to this system often results in disease, according to Kneipp.

How it works: The alternation between cold and hot water causes the blood vessels on the body’s surface to contract and then to reopen respectively. The treatment not only activates the entire human body, its heart, circulation, breathing, and metabolism, it also helps to keep blood vessels soft and supple. A: Before starting: make sure you have warm feet and legs. B: During your treatment: time and water temperature do not play the most important role – but keep an eye on how your legs or arms react to the stimulation of the cold or hot water, i.e. tingling, reddening, pulling during the therapy. Should any of these reactions occur, stop the exercise. C: After the treatment: do not towel dry. Instead, wipe off any excess water and dry yourself via gymnastics, a brisk walk or the application of a foot balm to warm yourself up again.
