Bio-Bauernhof Auernig - Obervellach

Do you want to hear children's laughter, bounce on the hay and pet the animals? Do you want a farmyard full of new experiences?
Welcome to the Auernig organic farm! You can be present when we mow our meadows, when the new-born calves take their first steps, when we visit our animals on the alpine pasture or feed our chickens. Our Haflinger horse Diana is looking forward to meeting all those who want to go horse riding, and our cats, dogs, guinea pigs, lamgs, little chicken and rabbits are longing to be stroked. We can tell you about our experiences and mountain tours at the evening campfire, which is right next to the crystal-clear fountain with spring water. Dive into an enjoyable holiday at the farm!

Our farm is situated at 680m above sea level, right in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, and is surrounded by a well-tended forest and meadow landscape. We go about our duties on the farm with a lot of love and enthusiasm. Nature itself and working with nature and with our animals is a lot of fun! Our production activities are suckler cow husbandry and the breeding of Pinzgauer cows, raising chickens and renting out holiday accommodation.

Our meadows surround the farmhouse. This means that our guests have plenty of space and peace to relax, play, enjoy and rest. In the garden, you'll find an adventure playground for big and small kids with a large sandpit, wooden tower with slide, rope ladders, swings, slack line, hammocks, water features and lots of other play equipment. Seats and loungers invite you to relax for a while. You can even use the covered pergola. A barbecue area and a spot for evening bonfires provide a lot of pleasure. Bicycles for the whole family are also available on the farm! In our games garage, you'll find plenty of entertainment for young and old: darts, table football, table tennis, toy tractors with accessories, go-carts, etc.
We have lots of animals running around our farm: rabbits, cats, our dog Bäri, our Hafling horses Ares and Diana, our Tinker horse Jara, little pony Mona, guinea pigs, chickens, our roosters and lambs are all waiting to be petted! And of course you'll also see our Pinzgauer cows and calves together with our breeding bull on the meadow. All of our animals love to be stroked and enjoy being visited by our guests.
