The history of St. Blasen is characterized by mining in the 15th century. Iron, silver and arsenic were mined here and in the surrounding area.

The hiking trails in and around St. Blasen are dedicated to these topics, among others. Arsenic galleries, remains of the hammer mill and the house and farm museum can be visited.

TIP: In the church of St. Blasen is one of the last clockworks that are wound by hand. If you are well-disposed towards the church moar, you might even be allowed to come along to wind the clock.
