16 - Pornal tour

The Serrada saddle delimits the Folgaria plateau to the south-east and, with the Pasubio massif in its face, overlooks the prodigious and panoramic Terragnòlo valley. With the Terragnòlo valley, the Alpe Cimbra shares the same German-Cimbrian matrix. But the history and economy are different: for the Alpe it is a matter of alpine pastures, forestry and tourism; for the Terragnòlo valley, especially in the past, it was a matter of cultivation on impervious slopes, of hard living, of emigration. The Pornal route takes the eco-hiker to 'peek' into the valley, landing at Pornal, one of the 'highest' villages in the deep valley furrow.
