From Grafenherberg to Vogelsang (piste ski route in the Sudelfeld ski paradise)

From the Grafenherberg car park, head south along the Oswaldlift for the first altitude meters upwards. Now keep right and follow in a long curve piste 15 to the top station of the Schöngratbahn. Always follow the green signs at the edge of the piste here to avoid endangering yourself and the other skiers on the piste. Over a hump, it goes right up to the top station of the new eight-seater chairlift Sudelfeldkopf.

In a westerly direction, ski down a small slope to the plateau where Speckalm and Walleralm are located.

Continue through the alpine pasture area to the Vogelsang drag lift. Follow this parallel to the top station. From here the ski area ends and you can climb the last 50 altitude meters to the right up to Vogelsang.

The descent takes place on the ski slopes of Sudelfeld back to the Grafenherberg car park.

Only climb at the edge of the piste, never cross the piste in unclear terrain, do not enter or ski on the pistes after piste closure (between 5 pm and 6 am) – there is danger to life due to piste maintenance!

Take the A8 Munich-Salzburg to the Weyarn exit, then continue via St2073 and B307 to Bayrischzell. After the town, follow the road up to Sudelfeld and take the turn to Waldkopfbahn and Grafenherberg.

Trains of the Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB) run hourly from Munich to Bayrischzell. In the winter season (during ski lift and cross-country trail operation) continue with the ski and cross-country bus to Sudelfeld. From the exit at the Waldkopfbahn it is about 1.2 km to the starting point of the tour.

Notes from the Sudelfeld ski area operator:
Please ascend only during the day along the green marked route to the Upper Sudelfeld. The entire route is equipped with DAV signage for ski touring on pistes. Be considerate of skiers and stay along the signage at the edge of the piste. All other pistes at Sudelfeld are closed to ski tourers. A parking fee applies for ski tourers.
