The snowshoe tour starts in Ramosch, which is characterized by an old Roman road. It is one of the driest places in Switzerland and is considered the warmest Engadin village in summer. The mild climate and good soil conditions once made Ramosch and the higher located Vnà the granary of the Engadin. The terraced fields on the slopes around Ramosch still bear witness to the former irrigation of the fields. The route follows the mentioned terraces eastward uphill from Ramosch. Along the way, the impressive mountain panorama stretches from Val d’Assa over Val d’Uina to the Sesvenna group south of Scuol. The last part to Vnà is through the forest. The sunny and scenic location of the village invites a rest after the steep climb. The village museum Vnà and the «dicziunari rumantsch» – a walkable dictionary – make a village walk in Vnà an experience. On small signs attached to the houses, expressions in four languages (Romansh, Italian, German, English) can be compared. The snowshoe tour then leads directly back to Ramosch. The legendary and listed ruin of Tschanüff castle is always in view. Along with Tarasp Castle, it was long the most important fortress of Lower Engadin and shapes the village image just like the reformed Florin Church. The late Gothic sacred building has space for 450 people, making the church – after the Martins Church in Chur – the second largest in the canton.
From Ramosch first very steep via the shortcut - or via the access road to the second left turn towards Vnà - up to the start point.
From here, steadily ascending through the forest towards Erms.
Shortly before Erms then up the meadow to the hiking trail near Runai.
Cross the road and continue uphill until reaching the next road.
From there, walk in and along the forest (Via Engiadina) towards Vnà.
One comes out of the forest and is in Prazif.
Follow the hiking trail there to a barn at a fork.
Then down into the village at the Vnà, Jalmèr bus stop.
Here briefly along the road a bit down to an intersection (below the church)
Then down left to a barn.
Below the barn it leads first over meadows and then down into the forest.
After a while, one arrives again at the start of the tour (via dad Erms).
Here follow the path again down to Ramosch.

Snowshoe equipment, high and sturdy hiking boots or winter boots, warm clothing, sun protection.

Vnà can be reached from the Engadin road H27 from Ramosch Fermada within 5 minutes by car.
