The Kanzianiberg in Finkenstein - Austria's largest and most traditional climbing garden - is located in the immediate vicinity of Lake Faaker See. Not only are there more than 300 climbing routes of all levels of difficulty here, there are also numerous via ferrata on the spectacular rock faces! There are climbing routes of all levels of difficulty, from beginners to advanced, there is something for everyone! There is also a beautiful Kneipp hiking trail around the Kanzianiberg - just the right thing after a strenuous climbing tour.
Once you have reached the parking area, follow the way south.
Climbing gear
Climbing is a dangerous sport - it is recommended to explore the Kanzianiberg with experienced mountain guides (see further links). Climbing at your own risk!
From Italy on the A2: Take the Villach Warmbad exit and continue via Fürnitz, Gödersdorf to Finkenstein.
From Klagenfurt on the A2: Take the Villach - Faaker See exit and continue via Drobollach and Faak to Finkenstein.
With the ÖBB to Finkenstein and then on foot about 20 minutes to the Kanzianiberg.
Parking sport are available.

From Kanzianiberg a hiking trail leads to the nearby castle ruins of Finkenstein - from there you have a wonderful view of Lake Faak and the surrounding region.
