From the starting point in Klagenfurt's old town, you head north to the Glanradweg. This leads then southeast to the municipality of Ebenthal, where the Ebenthal Waterfalls invite you to linger. Along the Sattnitz, the path then follows the rushing water until you return via St. Ruprechter Street to the starting point of the route.
The beautiful Neuer Platz forms the starting point of this route along with the town hall and the Lindwurm Fountain, the landmark of Klagenfurt.
From there, you go through Kramergasse to the Old Square with its historic buildings, boutiques, and romantic cafés. Via Wienergasse, you reach Heuplatz, where the shopping center “City Arkaden” is located. From there, you cycle a bit further north to join the Glanradweg.
The idyllic bike path leads along the water through the district of Welzenegg, where you stop at the castle of the same name, and through Fischlpark past the old mustard factory towards Ebenthal. From Ebenthal, continue on to Glanfurt/Sattnitz - whoever wants can take a detour to the idyllic Ebenthal Waterfalls.
Experience nature and fully enjoy a hearty snack afterward in Kalmusbad. There is a break to refresh body and mind. Along the Glanfurt/Sattnitz, you reach St. Ruprechter Street, which leads back to the starting point of the route.

From the north via Salzburg and the A10 Tauern Motorway and the A2 Southern Motorway. From the east via Vienna and Graz on the A2 Southern Motorway and from the south via Ljubljana and the B91 Loiblpass Road or via Udine and the A2 Southern Motorway. From the motorway exit towards the city center, Neuer Platz. More detailed information can also be found on our website.
From Klagenfurt main station and from Kärnten Airport, you can use public buses to reach the central bus station in the city center, Heiligengeistplatz. From there, it is only a few meters east to the town hall at Neuer Platz.
Throughout Klagenfurt's city center, you will find public parking spaces (note – paid short-term parking zone) and parking garages. In the short-term parking zone, remember to place a parking clock/note with your arrival time clearly visible behind the windshield while you purchase your parking ticket (10 minutes free parking)!
