The Rahja archipelago has many places to go ashore and build a campfire, making it an easy and safe destination for a kayaking trip. Traditional archipelago culture is still visible in many places, such as fishing villages and flowering meadows and pasturages. The Koivukari wilderness hut is located on the south-western shore of Ryöppää island. The hut has four beds and a stove.
There is a kayak dock in the Konikarvo marina. The dock has a kayak storage unit of Kalajoki Latu ry, which rents out kayaks. Konikarvo has a good connection to the sea area and the boat routes of Rahja.
