Circular route - 3-lake bike route - Lake Obertrumer, Lake Graben, Lake Mattsee

The route starts at the round parking lot directly next to the Obertrum tourist office. North past the playground, the secondary school, and the football field, the gravel path leads straight to Lake Obertrumer (landing stage of the lake shipping), where the first picturesque view awaits you. In a curve, cycle to the federal road. Turn right – past the Staffl beach – towards Seeham. Follow the bike/pedestrian path to the rest stop at Matzing. You can refill your water bottles at the fountain and continue strengthened toward Seeham. Here, you have to ride a few meters on the road until shortly after the beach the bike path begins again and leads straight on to Fraham. At the intersection, you can take the straight path towards Mattsee to shorten the route by about one hour. For the longer route, continue left here – following the bike path with first views of Lake Graben. After a short forest section, turn right at the first farm towards Perwang/Campsite Lake Graben.

Going straight/slightly right, you will shortly reach the rest area in Rödlhausen. Enjoy wonderful views over the Salzburg lake district here as well. Continue for about ten minutes (slightly right/straight ahead) along the path until you cross a small bridge after a short downhill section. Just after the mill, turn right and ride along the Mattig river. At the end of the path, you now have to cross the Mattseer Landesstraße. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL HERE! Turn right and continue, initially slightly uphill. Before the town of Mattsee, the "shortcut" merges back into the route. Shortly after, beautiful views of Lake Mattsee await you. Follow the path (past Billa) to Fahr(t)raum Mattsee. Those who want to make a detour to Cafe Neuhofer can continue straight here for about two minutes. At Fahr(t)raum Mattsee, the path turns right, then immediately left after the parking lot into Hinterwartstraße and at the end right again to Wartstein. It goes under the federal road until a driving ban indicates to dismount and push your bike along the narrow path next to Wartstein. Magical views over Lake Obertrumer make up for all efforts. At the end of the gravel path, turn right and follow the road, which after a short steep climb leads back onto the bike/pedestrian path toward Obertrum. Comfortably follow the bike path all the way back to Obertrum. Cross Obertrumer Landesstraße (past Billa) and cycle the street – along the cemetery wall – to the round parking lot.

Bring sun and rain protection as well as a small snack and drinks.
