The tour starts straight along the Spielbergbach stream to the Spielberghaus. Now the tour branches off in a westerly direction to the Bernkogel. Across the slopes where skiers normally roar down in winter, you reach a number of farmed alpine pastures. At the Reiteralm, it pays off to explore the various themed trails such as the herb trail, the alpine flower trail or the barefoot trail. Furthermore, above the mountain pasture in a hundred-year-old forest, there is a forest wellness trail with yoga platforms, forest hammocks and an outdoor library.
But the tour also has a lot to offer for children: along the "Berg Kodok" adventure trail, children have to solve 10 riddles in a magical fantasy world. Attention: don't forget your adventure pass at the Reiterkogelbahn valley station! Afterwards, there are still a few metres of altitude to cover and you reach the Spieleckkogel via a trail that becomes more alpine. From here the trail leads straight down to Lengau.
Sturdy, ankle-high shoes, hiking poles, headgear, sun protection, rain protection, water, necessary medication, first aid kit, detailed hiking map.
Self-assessment : Check your physical fitness before every mountain tour and correctly assess your strength as well as that of your companions - especially those of your children! Surefootedness and a head for heights are often very important!
Planning and preparation: Plan each intended mountain tour in detail beforehand. Hiking maps and guides as well as information from alpine associations and local experts such as mountain guides and hut keepers can be helpful.
Equipment: On the mountain you will need appropriate equipment and clothing, especially sturdy, high shoes with a good grip sole. Weather and cold protection are essential, as the weather can often change unexpectedly.
Pay attention to weather forecasts! Observe the rules for the correct handling of grazing animals and do not leave any waste in nature!
