Biberg winter hiking trail

The hike starts at the parking lot of Bockareit Stub'n at the valley station of the Biberg toboggan run. At the end of the parking lot, follow the path towards Hinterburghof, then keep left and walk on the forestry road to the mountain inn Huggenberg. Walking time approx. 1 hour; this is where the first sled rental is located.

From Huggenberg, continue hiking along the toboggan run for about 1 hour to the mountain inn Biberg, where the second sled rental is located.

BY CAR

Drive on the Pinzgauer Federal Road B311 from Saalfelden towards Zell am See. About 1 km after leaving Saalfelden, turn right following the signs to the summer toboggan run and follow the road to the parking lot of the summer toboggan run (Kehlbach 55, 5760 Saalfelden).

BY TRAIN

BY BUS

The starting point at the valley station of the Biberg summer toboggan run (Kehlbach 55, 5760 Saalfelden) in the Saalfelden district Kehlbach can be reached by post bus from the Saalfelden town center. From the "Saalfelden Biberg" bus stop, the starting point is less than 15 minutes on foot. More information can be found at https://fahrplan.salzburg-verkehr.at/

Those who do not want to climb Biberg on foot but still want to sled can comfortably take the shuttle to the mountain inn Huggenberg. Sleds can be rented at both mountain inns. Information on shuttle times and prices at: www.biberg.at

First refuel, then speed down

At Biberg, hikers should definitely not miss a stop at the Bockareit Stub'n (valley station), the mountain inn Huggenberg (halfway), or the mountain inn Biberg (at the end of the hike). Well fueled, sledding is much more fun!
