Hmeljko hops

The route starts at the Eco-Museum of Hop Growing and Brewing Industry in Žalec, where kids can have fun with Hmeljko the mascot. We turn towards the Novo Celje Mansion and then through hop fields to the former clothes-washing site along the trail between Žalec and the nearby Griže. From there we continue to the Vrbje Pond, where kids can play in the playground or see the open gallery. We continue along the Savinja River, which offers interesting hidden places for observing nature and playing. Surrounded by hop fields, we bike to Šempeter, which surprises us with the Roman Necropolis from the ancient times.  The local road takes us back to Žalec.
