Panoramaweg - 5th stage

On the last stage of the Panoramaweg Taubertal, you hike from Wertheim, where the Tauber flows into the Main, mostly through the forest to Freudenberg am Main.

At halfway height, you hike from Wertheim (see information in the description of the fourth stage) with beautiful views into the Main valley. Between Grünenwört and Boxtal, you get a view from halfway of the Henneburg ruins in Stadtprozelten on the other side of the Main.

After a descent into the romantic Wildbach valley to Boxtal, the path leads directly back up through the Freudenberg forest to Freudenburg. A 440-step descent awaits you until the destination in Freudenberg am Main. From Freudenburg, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Main valley.

You can end your hike on the Panoramaweg Taubertal in Freudenberg with a relaxing break at the castle or down at the Main promenade with Kneipp basin and boule court or at the bathing lake. On the way down the stairs, you also pass the half-timbered town hall. Furthermore, in Freudenberg, there is the cemetery chapel with Gothic wall paintings from the 13th century, the Amtshaus gallery, the RauchZoo, or the Rauch furniture museum to see.
