Of course, road bikers do not have to complete a real triathlon of swimming, running and cycling at Biggesee. Rather, the mostly easy route is themed "see water, ride road bike, and take it easy." After starting the route at the Olpe Leisure Pool, it goes over the only longer climbs of the route to Welschen-Ennest and past the hermitage Apollmicke. Later, the route leads mostly flat over the well-ridable Biggerandweg, always with a view of Biggesee. You then roll back relaxed to the Olpe Leisure Pool – and if you have not had enough yet, you can go swimming for another round...

Wearing a bicycle helmet should be obvious for all cyclists. Check before the ride that your bike is in perfect condition. For challenging routes, we recommend packing plenty of drinks and snacks.
In the entire region (Soest district, Hochsauerland district, Märkischer district, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district) a rescue point system is installed. Rescue points can be found among others on the information boards at the nodes of the Southwestphalia cycling network.
