The family ski resort in the border triangle of Tyrol, Salzburg and Bavaria is open daily from 5 December 2026 to 29 March 2027.

Across 42 kilometres of slopes of varying difficulty, winter sports enthusiasts of all ages will find runs ranging from gentle to challenging for their day’s skiing. Wide, perfectly groomed slopes, modern facilities and a clear selection of runs create the ideal conditions for relaxed family skiing days. For beginners and families looking for an easy introduction to the joys of skiing, the Winklmoosalm in Reit im Winkl and the Triassic Kinderland on the local mountain in Waidring are particularly well suited. Anyone wishing to take a break can enjoy the panoramic views from the vantage points or stop off at one of the cosy, family-run mountain huts.

There’s plenty to experience off the slopes too. At Triassic Park, the Ice Age meets prehistory: children aged three and over can play, do crafts and explore at the Triassic childcare centre – which offers flexible booking options – whilst the grown-ups enjoy a few runs. The winter walking trail, around one kilometre long, leads through the snow-covered mountain landscape, past life-size dinosaurs, to the stalactite cave and the viewing platform.

The Steinplatte Snow Park is the place to be for all freestyle enthusiasts. Spanning around 1.5 kilometres, over 50 features across various lines offer suitable opportunities for beginners as well as advanced riders. The Fun, Easy, Medium and Pro zones invite you to learn step by step on skis or a snowboard and further develop your own style. In addition, the popular Triassic Funline, with its undulating runs, steep bends, tunnels and playful features, provides extra variety on the slopes.
