At the high-alpine Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski resort, winter sports enthusiasts enjoy an extra-long ski season from fall to early summer, thanks to its snow-sure altitude and top-notch snow management. The Maiskogel ski area, close to the town of Kaprun, is especially popular with families and leisure skiers.
