For families, Carinthia's largest ski resort is a winter adventure park that promises one thing: fun! The youngest go on a discovery tour in the secure children's areas. The combination of piste, fun park and cross meanders through the forest over waves, jumps and banked curves. The snow park caters to different skill levels thanks to its kicker line, public line, and beginner line, as well as boxes, rails, and wall rides. Sporty skiers will also love Nassfeld. 110 kilometres of blue, red and black XXL pistes make the ski resort one of the most diverse on the sunny side of the Alps. The extra-wide pistes provide space for carving turns with an XXL radius and are always perfectly groomed thanks to the nightly marathon operation of the mountain railways.

Where skiing is pure pleasure.
The close proximity to Italy creates a unique culinary ‘microclimate’ on the Nassfeld. Twenty-six cosy ski huts and piste-side restaurants serve an exciting mix of local delicacies and Mediterranean treats. Nassfeld enjoys around 850 hours of sunshine in an average winter. The atmosphere in the ski resort is therefore relaxed, turning it into the largest sun terrace in the Alps in spring. Exciting off-piste variety
Those who have ticked off skiing, snowboarding, freeriding, and sunbathing as ‘must-do activities’ can look forward to the ‘optional extras’ on the Nassfeld. Off piste, winter sports enthusiasts will find a pristine natural idyll that is ideal for ski touring or snowshoeing.
Cross-country skiers have 180 kilometres of groomed (high-altitude) trails at their feet on the Nassfeld, in the Gailtal, the Gitschtal and Lesachtal valley and at Lake Weissensee. Whether classic, skating or training for the next biathlon – the trails can be used in any variation.
Every year, nearby Lake Weissensee becomes Europe's largest natural sheet of ice, captivating winter sports enthusiasts of all ages. It doesn't take much to enjoy a pure sense of freedom here: a pair of sharp blades, gloves and a good sense of balance are all you need to get started.
Another fun activity is tobogganing. Winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy tobogganing by day and night at six locations in the Nassfeld-Pressegger See region.

Sustainable Investments at Nassfeld: €23 Million for Environmental Sustainability and Modernization

This year, the lift operator at Nassfeld, Carinthia's largest ski resort, is investing around €23 million in modern, energy-efficient technologies. Projects include the construction of the new Gartnerkofel gondola (10-person cabins), the optimization of the snowmaking system, the addition of new snowmaking equipment, and new snow groomers equipped with innovative snow-depth measurement technology—all contributing to a significant reduction of the resort's CO₂ footprint.

The investment package is further complemented by the modernization of the Carnia floodlighting system, the expansion of children's and family areas, and new digital guest experiences such as redesigned photo points and the Nassfeld Challenge.

The objective is to combine environmental responsibility with the highest standards of guest experience while laying the foundation for the future development of the ski resort as part of the Nassfeld 2050 Master Plan.
